Hi Team,

Customer is consulting whether our SN74CB3Q3125PWR can support level shift functions: input voltage is 2.5V, output side is 3.3V pull-up ? I check the D/S but no finding. Could you pls help us comment on here? Thanks.

When the switch is closed, it behaves like a 3 Ω resistor. A 3.3 V pull-up at one side would also pull up the other side.

CB3T devices like the SN74CB3T3125 can level shift.

What's the main spec we use to judge whether one switch device can be used as level shifter or not? The rds_on value?

The presence of the "Signal path translation" feature:

Hey Stanley,

The SN74CB3Q3125 won't act as a level translator. As clemens mentioned the SN74CB3T3125 may be more of what you're looking for. Additonally, if you're only looking for level shifting capability without switching the Logic and Voltage Translators portfolio will have many options for you as well (https://www.ti.com/logic-voltage-translation/voltage-translators-level-shifters/overview.html)
