Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX1511,
Hi all,
I have a customer using the TMUX1511 to implement a SPI flash sharing scheme. There are 2 "master" devices that need access to the same SPI flash device, but not simultaneously.
There's a control signal that when high, allows Device 1 access to the flash, then when low, it allows Device 2 access to the flash.
The SPI signals being “shared” are SPI_MOSI, SPI_MISO, SPI_CLK, SPI_IO2, SPI_IO3, SPI_CS0#, SPI_CS1#, and SPI_CS2#.
The devices are powered with 3.3V and the SPI interfaces are 3.3V logic level.
They're looking at TMUX1575 instead due to better availability, and it may be a better solution since it would only require 2 devices rather than 4. Will this part work with two masters? He's concerned because the
example applications are for multiplexing one SPI master to two SPI flash slaves but he's trying to implement the opposite.
Wanted to double check with you all.
Thanks,
Lauren
