Hello Sir:

We want to use TS3DV642EVM for trying docking application(DP 1.4), just like figure 24 of datasheet.

Does there anything we need to pay attention to?

Or do you have some guide line mention us how to configure it for docking application(DP 1.4)?

Please kindly provide your recommendations for us.

Hi,

Can you share a block diagram? I am trying to understand if AC coupling is required on the input or the output of the EVM.

The EVM also comes with HDMI connector, are you going to covert from DP to HDMI passively?

Hi Daivd:

I have some impedance questions which needs to double confirm with you, please refer below questions.

1. According the impedance requirement of TUSB1046 RXP/N and TXP/N is 90 ohm +/- 15%, may I use 85 ohm +/- 10% on these trace?

2. According the INTEL PDG asked the impedance requirement of PD is 85 ohm and the impedance requirement of USB3.1 Gen2 is 80 ohm.

May I use 85 ohm +/- 10% from INTEL SOC out to TDP142 input and use 100 ohm +/- 10% from TDP142 output to DP3 connector?

Please help to provide your recommendations.
