TS5A22362: ADG884BR P2P alternative?

Part Number: TS5A22362
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3A24159

an engineer advised that this ADI switch in new design has very long lead times and is asking if TI has a P2P replacement for it.

(ADG884BRMZ-REEL7)

I see parts such as TS5A22362 are similar functionality, but not considered P2P drop in.

Am I overlooking any TI products?

  • Hi Carl,

We have the TS3A24159 which is P2P in the DRC package but it does not offer the 5V power supply option. This device is parametrically equivalent other than the lack of support for the higher power supply.

    Thanks,
    Tyler

  • Tyler,

Thanks for the prompt reply and information.  I will find out what the operating supply is.   Hopefully less than 3.6V and this device can be considered.

  • Tyler,

Unfortunately, the use-case with ADI switch is 5V supply.

I believe this might be a prototype board, so I am going to see if engineer might have a 3.3V supply, but since they use 6 per board and/or if their input signals are > 3.3V, than it might still not be feasible anyway.

If you have any other suggestions, let me know.

    Carl

  • Hi Carl,

If it is a prototype board and they can reroute traces, then the TS5A22362 would be the better option. It supports the 5V power supply and has the added capability of being able to switch negative voltage signals. It is nearly P2P in the DRC package, pins 4&5 and 7&8 are flipped vs the ADI part.

    Thanks,
    Tyler
