SN74CB3Q16245: Compatible solution consult

Part Number: SN74CB3Q16245
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74CBTLV16210

Hi Team,

Customer is looking for compatible solution w/ PI3B32X245. I search on our website which seems only SN74CB3Q16245 is 16-bit switch now. Could you pls help check whether those two device are application compatible? Or any design care-about customer should look at? Thanks,

Best,

Stanley

  • TI does not make any 16-channel switch in a 40-pin package.

CBT switches work only with a 5 V supply. CBTLV switches work at 3.3 V but allow only signals up to 3.3 V; CB3Q switches use a charge pump (with higher power consumption) to allow higher I/O voltages.

In the likely case that the signals are 3.3 V, I would recommend a CBTLV device like the SN74CBTLV16210.

  • Hey Stanley,

Is the customer looking for a drop-in solution or just an alternative?
We wouldn't have a suitable 16-bus drop in solution but the recommendations Clemens gave are good here. The SN74CBTLV16210 may be your best option but as mentioned above, this depends on the voltage range that the customer cares about. If you could provide a little more information I can help point you in the right direction if this thread hasn't already provided your solution for you.

    Thanks,
    Rami
