TS3A5018: TS3A5018 output open-drain

Part Number: TS3A5018
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX1574, TMUX1575

Hello, Team

May I know if our TS3A5018 is open-drain design output?

or do we have an device which allow 1.8V supply voltage with open-drain design ?

  • Hi King,

The TS3A5018 is an analog multiplexer, meaning that it does not drive/redrive the signal. It will pass whatever voltage is present on the IO less the minor attenuation from RON. Are you looking for an active, buffered multiplexer that will redrive the signal?

The TMUX1574 and TMUX1575 are devices that can operate off of a 1.8V supply voltage, are in the same configuration as the TS3A5018, but allow beyond the supply voltage operation.

    Thanks,
    Tyler

  • Hello, Tyler

Thanks for the help, we are looking for the I2C expender with VDD=1.8V

    but I guess TMUX1574 and TMUX1575 doesn`t re-drive(enhance) the signal, correct?

  • Hi King,

No, neither the TMUX1574 or TMUX1575 redrive the signals. It sounds like you would be interested in the digital multiplexer/demultiplexer portfolio. I can reassign the thread to the product line that owns these devices if you would like?

    Thanks,
    Tyler
