SN74LVC1G3157-Q1: Operation drop to Vcc=4V

Hello, Team,

Customer is using the device with Vcc = ~5V for the normal operation.

They would like to know whether if the Vcc drops to 4V, would SW still function?
Are there any modes that needs to be taken into consideration?

We are aware that this device can operate down to 1.65V.

All suply voltages between 1.65 V and 5.5 V are supported. But the I/O voltage should not exceed V_CC.

Hi Masaru,

Yes the device will still function with VCC= 4V since the device can operate with supply voltages between 1.65V and 5.5V. Please be aware that the IO voltage cannot exceed VCC or else damage may occur. For example if the VCC drops from 5V to 4V but the IO signal voltage remains at 5V, the device can be damaged.

Thank you for the support. Here are additional questions from the customer:

A is not connected to either B1 or B2 (A=open); would this happen? If yes, in what condition?
A is connected to both B1 and B2 at the same time (A=B1=B2); would this happen? If yes, in what condition?

The background of this question is that they wanted to narrow down the causes of an issue.
At this moment, analog switch is not determined as what is causing the issue.

B1 connected to B2 cannot happen because it uses break-before-make switching.

A is always connected to either B1 or B2 (except for a very short time during switching).

Hi Masaru,

1. A is always connected to either B1 or B2 depending on the state of the S pin:

2. A cannot be connected to B1 and B2 at the same time because of the break-before-make feature of the device.
