Hi team,
Can SN3257-Q1 be used in FPD-LINK signal? You could refer to the below picture. Customer need to transmit 720P video signal. DS90UB947+926
Thanks!

Hi Iris,
The SN3257-Q1 is an analog multiplexer so it will pass any signal (digital or analog) as long as it is within the datasheet specifications. Its bandwidth is 1200MHz and the supply voltage range is from 1.5V to 5.5V. Do you know what frequency and voltage the customer is going to be using for their signals?
Thanks,
Tyler
Hi Tyler,
The PFD-LINK signal is 1280*720p, frame rate 60hz, so the frequency is 55MHz(could you help to check the calculation is no problem), voltage is 1.8V.
Have you seen similar application before?
Thanks!
Hi Iris,
For the calculation, a little more information is needed.
-How many bits are used for the color (ex. 8 bit, 16 bit, 24 bit)?
-Is the signal encoded?
-Will the entire signal be on 1 channel or will it be split across multiple channels?
We have a TI precision labs video focused around the MIPI standard but the data rate calculations are similar. A screenshot from the video with an example data rate calculation is shown below.
Thanks,
Tyler
