TMUX6111: Are block diagram for TMUX6111 and TMUX6112 correct?

Part Number: TMUX6111
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX6112, TMUX1111

Dear Technical Support Team,

Are block diagram for TMUX6111 and TMUX6112 correct on datasheet?

TMUX6111 is normally closed and TMUX6112 is normally open.

Best Regards,

ttd

  • Hey ttd,

These look correct to me. The logic state on the SELx is 'HIGH' or 1 which seems to line up with the truth table and what we're seeing on the simplified schematic.

    Thanks

  • Hi Rami,

    Thank you for your reply.

TMUX6111 is normally closed. What is the definition of ”normally” generally for SW product?  Dose it mean "SEL=1" for ”normally” ?

TMUX6111 has Pull-down resistance on SELx pins. So default is SEL=0.

    PS TMUX1111's datasheet below.

  • The normal state is when the control input is low.

  • ttd,

The normal state is low. So the datasheet is correct with 6111 being normally closed, 6112 being normally open and 6113 being both. It's just that the figure is showing a logic high condition in the block diagram. I'm not sure why they elected to show TMUX611x in the high state but TMUX111x in the low state but they aren't incorrect here. I'll look into seeing if we can add the same kind of notation that's seen in TMUX111x in the TMUX611x to clear up future confusion.

    Thanks,
    Rami
