Hello,

For an audio application, I am looking for a quad Analog switch operating at +/- 5V fhat feeds into a summing inverting opamp where ON resistance of the switch isn't that important. However, I need the cross talk isolation as 100dB. Is this a good part? TMUX6112? I also see you have good inventory of WQFN that I am interested in.

Hey Divakar,

The device seems to be a good fit with regards to the cross talk at the audio frequencies. However, typically the audio applications have a bit of a higher current requirement relative to the analog switch. Does the +/-25mA recommended channel current work for you on the TMUX6112?

Hello Rami,

thanks, I didn't pay attention to that. Yes it is a little high for what I am trying to do. Is there another part? I prefer the package and pinout arrangement.

The application is to enable/disable 4 audio channels from a DAC to a summing amplifier.

Rami,

I misunderstood your question. I don't need high current through the IC as I am not driving a speaker or handset but a summing amplifier with 10K or so input impedance. I thought you were referring to the supply current which I think is in uA and that is what I was expecting. So I guess I am Okay here.

Oh I see, yes if you're going from the DAC and lower current is fine then I think this device should be a good fit! The crosstalk should meet the spec you're aiming for up to a few MHz.

in that regard, I also need a dual with same features so can I consider TMUX6121? If I have further questions on an audio driver, can I continue here or do you wnat me to open a new one?

Divakar,

Yes, the TMUX6121 will just be the 2channel version of the TMUX6212.
If the question is specific to picking the same device it would make sense to keep it on the same thread and continue conversation. If you feel that a new independent conversation is needed feel free to start a new one. Either way is fine though and i'll be more than happy to support!
