TMUX136: Maximum allowed stub length

Part Number: TMUX136

Hi team,

I would like to ask about maximum stub length in TMUX136.

The datasheet suggest the stub length to be designed less than 200mm, but in 6GHz application scenarios the signal wave length is just 24mm.

I wonder if the 200mm maximum proposal is reasonable?

Best Regards,
Adrian Liu

  • The stub should be as short as possible. The limit depends on the application; I do not know what rise/fall time was assumed for this particular value.

  • Hi Adrian,

The maximum stub length is going to be limited by the rise time of the driver you are using at a given frequency. however, I would say that the datasheet is likely a bit too generous in this requirement and would try to keep the stub to be as short as possible to minimize the possibility of any relfections from any longer stubs.

    Thanks,

    Bryan
