TS5A23157: Design review

Hello,

My customer considers using the TS5A23157 for the following application.

 - Connect BLE UART and AP UART to RS232 Transceiver

 - UART_MUX_DIR is controlled by AP and in default state, they want BLE UART and RS232 Transceiver to be connected.

1. Is the TS5A23157 suitable for the above application?

2. Please review the circuit below.

    Hi JH,

    Thank you for providing a circuit diagram. The TS5A23157 is suitable for the application noted here. Since the NC to COM pins are ON in a default low state, then you can expect your application to work as described. Our device also supports the max voltage and bandwidth of UART so no issues there.
