TMUX6136: PSpice model

Part Number: TMUX6136

I need a simulation model for TMUX6136, that includes charge injection and optionally thermal noise. I have testet a model for a look-alike  (ADG1236), but it works like show injection is not what I expect in a test-circuit.

  • Hey Bo,

We do not have a PSPICE model currently for the TMUX6136. It is in our backlog to create but won't be ready in the foreseeable future. You can certainly try and model it with passive discrete components (See FAQ : [FAQ] What if my Analog Switch/Multiplexer is Missing a PSpice Model?) But it would require more effort to properly model the charge injection. Was there a spec for the charge injection you were trying to meet?

Charge injection in this device looks pretty flat ( figure 6-7) @ around 0.4pC (also listed as the typical value). We test the charge injection with a 1nF load. So using the charge injection formula Q = C*ΔV where C is the capacitance, ΔV is the change in voltage at the output, and Q is the charge injection in Coulombs we can rearrange to find what the effects of the charge injection can be estimated to be -> ΔV = q/C = 4pC/1nF = 0.004V or 4mV

Another note is that while the devices parasitic on capacitance does come into play, we disregarded it here since the load was in the nano range, which made the parasitic 5.5pF so minute, it didn't change our results.

I hope this is of some help and let me know if there's anything else I can help with here.

    Thanks,
    Rami
