TMUX646: Recommend for Dphy 3:1 mux

Hi team,

     Support need.

     The customers want to use mux for 3:1 mux. I only find the 2:1 mux in the Ti.com. Do we have such device to meet customers' need shown below.

传输协议[Protocol] MIPI D-PHY  4-lane   up to 2.6Gbps / lane
拓扑结构[Topology] Choose one from three, it can be greater than choose one from three, for example, choose one from four
最小供电电压[VDD(Min.)] 1V
最大供电电压[VDD(Max.)] 5V
工作电流[Icc] No special requirements, as low power consumption as possible
带宽[Bandwidth] The actual product has a maximum rate of 2.6Gbps per lane, and considering the margin, it should be greater than 4GHz as much as possible
其他特性[Other Features] 4 lane data+1 lane clk, one device can solve it.
最低工作温度[Ta(Min.)] -25℃
最高工作温度[Ta(Max.)] 85℃
制造等级[Product Grade] commercial grade
ESD等级(CDM)[ESD Rating(CDM)]   +/-4KV

  • Hello Nan,

    Unfortunately we don't have an 3:1 Mux for Mipi. However  you can use 2 TMUX646  and short the outputs together which would create a 4:1 mux. With this method you would only add the effects of COFF of the second mux vs the entire mux when you cascade.Tying the outputs shouldn't bring them below 4GHz. Then terminate the unused I/O pin/channel  by connecting it to  ground through a 50 ohm resistor..

    To operate this solution you would have to  to enable the mux your're working with and disable the one your're not working with with the /OE pin. Then select the channel you want to use with the SEL pin.
