TS3DDR3812: S-parameter model

Part Number: TS3DDR3812

I would like to know whether you have the S-parameter model for TS3DDR3812RUAR. I only see the HSPICE and IBIS models online.

regards,

-Shriram

  • Hey Shriram,

We don't have a s-parameter modeled from silicon for this device. However, I will talk to the rest of our apps team and  attach an s parameters file created from simulated results. To be clear this will not be  results from lab tested devices.

    I hope this will

    Thanks,
    Kameron

  • Thanks Kameron, appreciate it. This would be very helpful in estimating insertion loss and impedance discontinuities in our system.

    -Shriram

  • Hello Shriram,

Our teams S parameter model expert is OoO right now and we will get you what you need when he returns in a couple days!

  • Thank you. Yes early next week is fine. I would request this at the earliest since we need these for our board design simulations which are in progress.

    Hey Shriram,

Please see attached s-parameter file for TS3DDR3812

    Thanks,
    Rami

  • Hi Rami,

The attached file seems to be in an "SnP" format. Can you clarify the number of ports in the file? Is this supposed to be an s2p?

    regards,

    -Shriram

  • Hey Shriram,

Sorry for not being more clear. This is the full s-parameter file and as Kameron mentioned this was created from simulated results. The SnP has all 36 ports.

    Thanks,
    Rami

  • Hi Rami,

Thanks for clarifying. Do you have a port mapping file that I can use? I am not clear on the port mapping in the SnP file.

    regards,

    -Shriram

  • Hey Shriram,

    The Port mapping repeats with

    1. On channel Source (Bx)
    2. Off channel Source  (Cx)
    3. On channel Drain (Ax)

In actuality the Bx and Cx channels can be switched (as these can just be reversed logic) as long as you stick to the same convention.

Here is a port mapping file as well :

  • Thanks again Rami. This is very helpful indeed.

However I am viewing the S-parameters in Hyperlynx and observe that there are only 32 ports though in the SnP instead of 36. Could you check at your end as well?

    regards,

    -Shriram

  • Hey Shriram,

    Sorry about that!
    Try this one

    Thanks,
    Rami

  • Thank you! Appreciate your prompt responses!

I'll go ahead and close this ticket as I believe I have everything I need.
