We are currently working with TPS2116 and would like to understand whether TPS2117 will drop in replacement. TSP2117 will solve 2.5A current limit of TPS2116. Also would like to understand when TPS2117 will be available.

TPS2117 will be a drop-in replacement for TPS2116 with higher current capability. The device is sampling now and is planned to be released later this year.
