TMUX154E: Asking for TMUX154 U2 application and suggestions

 Hi Team,

Customer would like to design USB2.0 2:1 MUX.


Is MUX TMUX154ERSWR able to support this requirement?

Or we suggest to use TS3USB221?

    You can use any switch that supports the required voltage and bandwidth.

    The TMUX154E's analog bandwidth of 900 MHz is probably not enough for digital signals at 480 Mbps. (Digital signals are not sine waves; they require more bandwidth to remain square waves.)

    The TS3USB221 is designed for USB 2.0.

    Hi SHH,

    Clemens is correct here - we want a part with higher bandwidth, ideally around 1.2GHz or higher. TI offers a variety of high speed 2:1 switches meant for USB 2.0 linked here.
