TS5A23157-Q1: analog switch DC offset

My application is switching of a DC bias voltage, where the analog switch is not permitted to add a positive or negative offset.

Even an offset of 1mV will have an effect.

I'm not sure which TS5A23157 datasheet specification applies to DC error between the NC/NO pins and the COM.

Can someone help me.

Hello David,

The datasheet does not include that information specifically, we'll need to know what voltage levels you're using for your DC biasing application to get an idea of what DC error you can expect with your current analog switch.

Hi Santiago. Thanks for responding. The DC control signal at NO/NC/COM is from 0 - 5V. It is used to set a power supply output voltage where 5mV = 1V.

A correction to my comment before, We could likely tolerate a 5mV DC offset, but the lower the better. Thanks

The switch behaves like a resistor of about 10 Ω.

The voltage drop over the switch depends on the current through the switch (e.g., 1 mA × 10 Ω = 10 mV). If there is no DC current, then there is no offset.

Hi Clemens,

The load is at least 1 MOhm, so the highest offset is 50uV. No problem.
