TMUX1574: Missing Protection diodes on analog input

Part Number: TMUX1574
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LV4052A

I have been looking at analog muxes 2:1 and 4:1 for some time, the TMUX1574 finally came up as what seems the perfect choice for 2:1: low capacitance, low leakage, ultra small package, low voltage supply and low price. It even has low Ron which I do not need. Too bad you do not have a 4:1 version also, for that usage it would be the perfect choice. For that my best choice so far is SN74LV4052A.After reading the datasheet I realized that tmux1574  differs in one way from must of your other mux'es! It looks like the analog input do NOT have parasite/protection diodes to supplies like most others. In one case my input is a ceramic sensor with about 5K impedance. Normal operation signal is below +/-1Vp but in some special nonoperation cases the signal may be +/-20Vp (with or without power applied). Am I correct when I conclude that I must add BAS16 diodes from inputs to supplies to protect the TMuX1574 from damage?
