Hi ti
I designed a circuit: use 1pcs LMG1020 + 1pcs TMUX1108 + 8pcs MOSFET, Testing found that TMUX switch pins are often burnt out;
The output of LMG1020 is a pulse current, with a peak current of up to 2A. The duration of 2A is about 8ns, and the pulse period is 13.89us. May I ask if the TMUX1108 pin is burnt out due to this? Can you help guide me on what to do?
The absolute maximum rating of the TMUX1108 is 30 mA. Add a current-limiting resistor, or use multiple gate drivers.
Hi Rain,
Are you saying that 2A of current is being pulsed through the TMUX1108? If so, that is violating the abs max. This switch is rated for 30mA max current. You would need to limit the current going through the switch to avoid burning it out.
Regards,
Alex
Hi Rain,
My go-to solution here would be to just use a current limiting resistor. Or as Clemens mentioned, multiple gate drivers can do the trick as well.
Thanks!
