TMUX1308-Q1: EN pin tight to ground

Part Number: TMUX1308-Q1

Hi Team,

The customer want to tight EN pin to GND for saving GPIO, since there is no timing requirement in the datasheet related to EN pin. Only can not  turn off all the sw. If the customer can accept, can they do it?

  • The datasheet says in section 10.2.2:

If the parts desired power-up state is disabled, then the enable pin should have a weak pull-up resistor and be controlled by the MCU through the GPIO.

Conversely, if the part's desired power-up state is enabled (or you do not care), then the /EN pin can be connected directly to GND.

  • Hello Peter,

Yes as long as the customer doesn't care about the power-up state the EN pin can be tied to ground.

    Thanks,

    Nir
