LMH6586: Sync Signal distortion when cross point switch is in power down mode

Part Number: LMH6586
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMH6572

I am feeding STANAG-format single ended signal to cross point switch

Top LEVEL Block Diagram:

LMH6586.pdf

When cross point switch is in power down state, Sync and Active Video of signal is degraded at the input of the crosspoint switch.(Reason - Since few input signals shall bypass the switch at initial state and fed to MUX)

But, when the crosspoint switch is active, signal founds okay at input of the crosspoint switch.

Schematic and Oscilloscope pics are attached below for reference

SCH:

LMH6586_SCH.pdf

Observations:

H-SYNC should be around 300mV ideally as per STANAG format, But if the crosspoint switch is in power down mode, level got reduced to 180mV. Additionally, the rise time of active video also degraded

Kindly, update regarding this query as early as possible

Thank you.

  • Hello,

I think the first thing we should do is disconnect the LMH6586 from the circuit and just pass your signal form the connector straight into the LMH6572

If you could send screenshots of the waveform and more info after trying this that would be a great help.
