Hello Team

I have a question regarding Vcc for SN74LV4066A.

The Features and Description sections on page 1 of the SN74LV4066A datasheet state "1.65V to 5.5V VCC operation."

However, on page 5, under the "5.4 Recommended Operating Conditions" section, it states "VCC Supply voltageMin 1V Max 5.5 V."

Which one is correct?

There are no electrical characteristics guaranteed for any supply voltage below 1.65 V. This looks as if correct operation is possible down to 1.65 V, but static operation (all C inputs stay at V_CC or GND) is possible down to 1 V.

Hey Tomoyuki,

Just to add to Clemens point, if you're looking to work below the 1.65V range, I would recommend the TMUX1111 instead which support down to 1.08V and has the 1.2V specifications in the electrical characteristics table

Hello Team

I have an additional question.

In the datasheet from April 2005, the Recommended Operating Conditions show Vcc Min as 2V.Could you please provide information on when the Min was changed to 1V in the current datasheet? If possible, could you provide the datasheet where this change to Min 1V is documented in the update history? Additionally, if there is a Product Change Notification (PCN) regarding the changes in this datasheet, I would appreciate it if you could provide the PCN.

The revision history is section 9 of the datasheet. PCN# 20240221009.1 is about the change to 300 mm wafers; the die was completely redesigned.

Neither the revision history of the datasheet nor the PCN mention the change from 2V to 1V in the Recommended Operating Conditions for Vcc Min. However, is it correct to understand that the change occurred in datasheet number SCLS427J?

Yes; there is no other revision between I and J.

Hey Tomoyuki,
I looked into this to see what was going on and it seems that the revision from I to J changed the formatting to a newer format for the datasheet but somewhere in there a typo was made. The value should be 1.65V not 1V. No PCN was issued for this since we're decreasing the lower limit of a recommended value vs something like increasing the upper limit of a behavioral value (i.e the on-leakage gets higher or the on-resistance increases) where a PCN would be more likely needed.

Thanks for catching this though. We will make the changes to the datasheet.

Hi Rami,

Thank you for your response. I appreciate the confirmation that the Vcc Min of 1V in the Recommended Operating Conditions was indeed a typo. I understand that the datasheet will be updated to reflect Vcc Min of 1.65V. Could you please let me know when this change is expected to be implemented? We need our customer's approval for the Qualification of RFAB, indicated in PCN# 20240221009.1, by the Proposed 1st Ship Date of May 21, 2024. Therefore, it would be greatly appreciated if you could address the change promptly.
