CD4051B: Analog switching, where to reduce digital noise? VDD, VSS, VEE

Part Number: CD4051B

Hi, I have been developing an audio product switching analog audio signals with the 4051B mux. I am experiencing some noise and on the redesign of the product, I am trying to separate more the analog and digital grounds. My question is what could create noise with this chip? I was thinking of connecting VSS, which is ground, to analog ground, but I'm not sure if this is correct. Would this be a digital or analog ground pin inside the chip? Is this VSS pin just used for the digital logic in the chip? VEE and VDD are -5 and 5V and should be relatively clean signals. Would noise on these two pins even affect the audio signal going through the chip though? There are other areas in the circuit where I will try to reduce noise, but in regards to the CD4051B, I am wondering what if anything can add noise to my signal going through it. Thanks
