Hi Team,
Can you please share layout guidliness for I3C.How much stub length is okay for I3C which will be work on 12.5Mhz.
Many Thanks

Hey Rajat,
That would really depend on your bus. I3C has a defined max capacitance of 50pF so for example if your bus has 30pF on it from just the components you'll need to calculate the capacitance of your traces, which usually is roughly 1pF to cm but it will change depending on your layout. So if we just pretend that it's 1pF per cm, you'll have about 20cm extra for your traces, including the stub length you can add before violating the i3c standards.
*That's not to say the entire bus will fail after 50pF, in reality you can probably push those limits a little, you'll just be violating the i3c standards set by the mipi alliance.
Thanks,
Rami
