TS3L301: Abs Max Junction Temperature

Hello, 

What is the absolute maximum junction temperature Tjmax for TS3L301?
Datasheet says:

  • Max operating free-air temperature: TA = 85C
  • Package thermal impedance: θJA = 70C/W
  • Abs Max ON-state switch current:  I/O = 128mA
  • Typ On-Resistance: ron = 4Ω
  • 8 channels

Is the maximum junction temperature: Tjmax = 85C + (128mA)^2*(4Ω*8)*70C/W = 122C -> 125C?

    Hello Craig,

    The max junction temperature for the TSL301 are the following:

    - DGG Package = 158.6C

    - DGV Package = 145.9C

    When calculating max junction temperature, we use max Ron (8Ω), and the max supply current (600uA) as part of the calculation.
