TMUX4053: Confirmation of the problem of VDD being less than 5V

Tool/software:

The recommended operating conditions Min for VDD is 5V.
I will be operating with VDD=5Vtyp and VSS=-5Vtyp, and there is a possibility that VDD will be less than 5V.

Is this a problem?

In theory, 5 V is allowed, but 4.999 V is not. In practice, I would just risk it.

This device is optimized for large voltages. Consider the CD74HC4053 instead. (But that one has a limit of exactly 10 V on VDD − VSS.)

Hello Masaki,

We don't recommend exceeding beyond the specs in the datasheet. If it is a small change of ~0.1V there shouldn't be an issue, but we can't guarantee it.

As Clemens mentioned the CD74HC4053 can be a good alternative option.
