TMUX1308: On Resistance over temperature

Expert 4001 points
Part Number: TMUX1308

Tool/software:

Do we have data or an expectation on the on resistance change over 0 to 35C?

5V is the power supply, logic is 3,3V

  • Hello JDJ,

We don't have information for that exact temperature range. When we collect data for our devices across temp, it will be -40, 25, 85 and 125 (if the device is capable to be operated at 125).

For 0 to 35C I recommend to follow the spec at 25C, since it should be pretty close to what it would be.

    Thanks,

    Nir

  • Hi Nir, understand we don't have data. Are you able to provide an estimation or gut feeling on how much the resistance will change between 0 to 35C?

  • Hello JDJ,

Its pretty hard to know, but best I can do is to look at the datasheet information and estimate what it would be from the values we do have.

I would estimate that the Ron values with be very similar to the 25C. I would use the 25C specs as reference.

    Thanks,

    Nir

  • Even at 25C, we are worried that is too big of a difference. Is there a similar device with a tighter Rds(on)?

  • Also what is the distribution?

Is there a way for customer to easily screen the Ron if we need the tighter tolerance?

  • Hello JDJ,

Can you please explain what device are they looking for? What specific specs? Why are they interested in the TMUX1308? Is it the injection current control?

The distribution is what is shown in the datasheet. For example at 1.8V we guarantee the Ron will be  650 to 1500 ohms at 25C.

Yes, the customer can easily measure the Ron of the device following the setup below.

    Thanks,

    Nir
