SN74LV4053A: Revision History

Part Number: SN74LV4053A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LV4051A

Tool/software:

Hi,

■In Rev.L of the datasheet, the following items have been changed in addition to the contents of Revision History. Do you plan to add these changes to Revision History?

<Changed Specs>

P5, VCCmin

P6, ICCTyp)@25℃ add

P7, COS, CIS, COS(On)

P7P8, Timing Characteristics(Typ)

P8, tPHZ, tPLZ(max)@VCC=5V±0.5V

P8, Frequency response (switch on)

■Regarding COS, CIS, and COS (On) of P7, the values are different between Rev.K and Rev.L.

Am I correct in understanding that the measurement conditions are the same, but the values have been changed?

Best Regards,

Nishie

  • Hello Nishie,

Thank you for bringing this to our intention as this could be a datasheet error and we will work to fix this.

Please expect a response tomorrow to confirm your inquiry about the measurement conditions vs the value changes for some of the specs

    Regards,

    Kameron

  • Hello Nishie,

After further investigation, I will need more time to find out the reason why there are changes between Rev K and Rev L that are not outlined on the rev history.

Please let me know if you have any immediate questions regarding this and I will update this thread when I have more information

    Regards,

    Kameron

  • Hi Nishie,

We looked into this, the 23pF number is actually coming from the SN74LV4051A spec, the SN74LV4053A capacitance is still 8.2pF. COS (on) is a new spec that should match CIS. COS did not change, this is simply rounding based on new datasheet standards.

    Thanks,

    Stephen

  • Hi Stephen-san, Kameron-san,

    Thank you for checking.

I understand that there are changes in the datasheet other than what is described in Revision History. I will pass the information on to the customer. If I receive additional questions from the customer, please let me consult with them.

    Best Regards,

    Nishie
