TMUX1208: Input ESD protection diode maximum current specification

Part Number: TMUX1208

Tool/software:

Good evening,

I am working with the TMUX1208 in a large multiplexing application, and need to provide additional transient protection beyond that included by the devices internal ESD structures.

The datasheet does not explicitly state, or provide an input structure diagram - but I presume each input uses rail-to-rail diodes. What is the absolute maximum current rating of these diodes, if they exist? We can withstand several thousand ohms of external resistance on the source pins in our application, such that larger transients will drop via the series resistors when the internal ESD diodes trigger.

Many thanks
