We are currently considering the LM34966Q1 DC-DC Controller IC 14-HTSSOP for our project. However, due to PCB manufacturing constraints, we are facing challenges with the current package options.

We would like to inquire if it is possible to obtain the LM34966Q1 in a SOIC package. This change would greatly assist us in overcoming our current manufacturing issues and ensure continuity in our production line.

We only have HTSSOP package for LM34966Q1 device and no plans to release it in SOIC package.

Thanks for the reply on the mentioned query.

If the component is not available in the SOIC package, can you please suggest other controllers that have the same electrical characteristics, which should not affect the design layout.

Hi Mounika,

I wanted to update you on the design of the flyback converter, which converts 28V to 13.5V. For this design, I have utilized the specified controller for closed-loop operation.

Regarding the PCB fabrication, our manufacturer has informed us that with the 4oz copper PCB, the IC pitch needs to be at least 0.8 mm. To comply with the fabricator's requirements, I have requested the SOIC package for the IC.
