TMUX7234: TMUX7234PWR

Part Number: TMUX7234

Tool/software:

Hello Team,

In our design we are planning to implement TMUX7234PWR IC .

Below are few query as mentioned :

1.In our application we are using the Single Supply Rail ,Due to which the VSS Pin 5 will be directly connected to Ground ,Correct ?

2.Supply in the system for Pin 16 VDD,is 36V ,SEL1,2,3,4  driving voltage are 3.3V and Signal IO level on the SAn and SBn  5V/36V ,

So would I be able to drive 5V signals on SAn and SBn pin when VDD is 36V ?

would I be able to drive 36V signals on SAn and SBn pin when VDD is 36V ?

would I be able to drive 36V signals on SAn and SBn pin when VDD is 5V ?

Our end Application is to switch the signals of CAN and VBAT coming from the vehicle !

Please help us on the above query .!

Tirthal Patel

  • Hello Trithal,

    1. Yes, that is correct

    2. If your supply is 36V your I/O voltage is limited up to that voltage level. Meaning, for your case the SAn and SBn pins can pass up to 36V, 5V and 36V signals will work.
36V through the I/Os, while supply is 5V will not work. This exceeds device specifications.

All this information can be found in the datasheet under the recommended specifications section.

    Thanks,

    Nir
