MUX36D08: min of Ton / Toff

Part Number: MUX36D08

Tool/software:

Dear Technical Support Team,

I have two questions.

Q1

Do you have min spec for ton and toff.

There are typical and max specs. Why are there no spec for min?

If you have reference data you evaluated on ATE, it it helpful for me.

Q2.

When VDD = 15 V, VSS = -15 V and VIN = -20V, which power supply which power supply will break?

I guess that current flow from VSS to VIN, then VSS side will be damaged.

Best Regards,

ttd

  • Hello ttd,

The Ton, Toff information in the datasheet is all the data we have on that spec. We usually don't spec min value for these parameters, only typical or max.

Since the voltage input is greatly exceeding the supply, what most likely is going to happen that the diode to VSS will clamp and get damaged.

    Thanks,

    Nir

  • Hi Nir,

    Thank you for your reply.

    I got A2 about Q2.

About Q1, could you check attached file about timing chart.

    MUX36D8_ton_toff.xlsx

MUX1(DA,DB) and MUX2(DA,DB) are wired or. So If both EN are on, both output are Collision.

So I'd like to consider margin to avoid both ON timing.

Do you know by reference how much it deviates from the typical in the min direction?

For example, is it possible Ton=82ns(typ) and Toff=63ns(typ) deviate from the typical in the min direction by about 10% in PVT?

    Best Regards,

    ttd

  • Hello ttd,

I can only guess what the deviation will be, since I don't have any reference to based it on and it is not specked in the datasheet.
I think a good estimation is up to 10% deviation like you mentioned.

    Thanks,

    Nir
