Hi Team,
When CD4051BM96G4 is powered by +5V, when one of the channel input signal greater than 5.5V, we found another 7 channels voltage will also increase. Could you please help explain the reason?

Hi Jaden,
So when you have the CD4051B powered with a 5V supply but you put 5.5V on its input you have created something called a overvoltage event which can cause abnormal operation with the internal circuitry of the device.
[FAQ] Do TI Analog Switches/Multiplexers have Internal ESD Protection?
Essentially having a overvoltage event can induce leakage current from the forward biased esd diodes and other parasitic structures in the device which can intern can cause strange voltage readings on other channels of the device.
I assume when passing signals within the recommended operating conditions this device is fine but please let me know if you have any other questions.
