TS3A27518E: TS3A27518E stress test information

Part Number: TS3A27518E

Tool/software:

Hi Team

my customer want to know some stress test information as below. could you help on this case?

operation voltage level: 1.8V  largest power consumption channel 36.44mA duration 80nS.

TI Spec: +/- 50mA and pulse at 1-ms duration <10% duty cycle.

question as below.

1. base on 50mA condition our spec is pulse at 1-ms duration <10% duty cycle. if base on 36.44mA will the duration change?

2.if stress time change from 100uS to 80nS. will 50mA stress current become higher?

3.under 36.44mA 80nS. will it damage MUX?

  • Hi Brian,

    1. The duration is based on your duty cycle. If you have the same duty cycle & same pulse length, the duration will stay the same.

    2. We do not have this data available, so I would still recommend stopping at 50mA

    3. No, this should not damage the mux as it is shorter and less current than what is in the datasheet spec.

  • Hi Katy

    Thanks for your reply.

    Based on energy composed of 36.44mA ^ 2 * 8 ohm * 80 nS which occurs 37311  per day.

May you estimate the MUX lifetime?

  • Hi Tomh,

We do not have an estimated lifetime for our multiplexers. However, unlike relays, we do not expect degrading of the switch over a certain amount of cycles.
