Hello
On the TMUX7412F's datasheet (www.ti.com/.../tmux7412f.pdf), there are two statements that make what happens to the mux if an overvoltage level is present on the drain pin while the mux is powered-off unclear.
1) "Source and drain voltage levels of up to ±60 V are blocked in the powered-off condition." (page 33)
2) "The overvoltage protection is provided only for the source (Sx) input pins. The drain (Dx) pin, if used as signal input, must stay in between VDD and VSS at all time since no overvoltage protection is implemented on the drain pin. (page 35)
Now, my question is: if the mux is powered-off and a 50v line is connected to the drain pin, what will happen? Is it the mux protected according to statement 1 or is it not according to statement 2?
Thanks!
