I have found that the auxiliary switch channels (1A, 2A, 3A) are totally unusable for switching I2C & CEC signals as suggested in the data sheet.
The OFF state resistance of these switches appears to be < 20 ohms! resulting in no isolation between the A & B ports for these channels.
In my application (DVI / HDMI switching) I have
VCC = 3.3V
1A = HPD (5V)
2A = SCL(5V)
3A = SDA(5V)
What I am finding is that when the switch is switched to the A port (SEL = L) any I2C activity on the A port (1A_A, 2A_A, 3A_A) is mirrored on the b port (1A_B, 2A_B, 3A_B)
resulting in corrupted I2C transactions. ie. No practical isolation.
Looking at the IBIS model it has these channels named as TS3DV20812_IOLEDA_33 etc.
Could you let me know what the real function of the auxiliary channels is. The data sheet is lacking ANY detail of these channels.
Thanks
Colin
