bq24392 pinout and usage as a charge port detector

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24392

Hi,

I Have a few question on the usage of the bq24392. First it looks to be the correct part to use in a down-stream (peripheral device) to detect if the device is connected to a DCP or standard USB port.  I want to detect if the port is capable of the higher current of a charging port or not  (900ma while operating a high-speed link).  Secondly it looks like the pin-layout of the bq24392 is designed to be mounted on the opposite of the PCB from the USB connector. If the same side looks like D+ and D- cross, I am hoping I am missing something here. A minor thing diagram below I think pin-9 should be labeled VBUS.

Thanks,

Steve
