TS3A 44159 switch capacitance

Hi,

We need to know about how the switch capacitance changes over time and temperature. In this application, we are hoping for the capacitance to remain constant over these two variables so that during production the end products can be calibrated once and will not drift. If not, do you know of any muxes that do not have added capacitance that might be good for this sensitive application? Thanks

  • Hello Alex,

    I am looking into this.

  • Hello Alexander,

I spoke with design on this and the answer is not very straightforward.   Yes the capacitance will change but by how much will vary from device to device and will also change based on the frequency you are trying to measure it at.

Also these changes could be so small that the application might not notice it.  Can you tell me a little bit more about the intended use case for this and the customer constraints on how much the capacitance drift is allowed?

    Regards,

    Andrew
