TS3DV642 - Can it support a signal of 4k2k30p (3Gbps)?

My customer wants the following information.

Could you please tell us the following question.

 

1.Can it support a signal of 4k2k30p (3Gbps)?

2. Did you measure the eye pattern at signal of 4k2k60p(3Gbps)?

3. Did you measure the max dissipation power at signal of 4k2k60p(3Gbps)?

    1.  Yes

    2.  4k2k60p is not possible with HDMI 1.4.  But we did measure the 3.4 Gbps eye for 4k2k30p.

    3.  As this is a passive switch,  the signal speed through the device has no impact on our devices power consumption (ICC).  If you are asking about the power dissipated through the switches of the device because of the current running through the switches then no we did not.

    the "device" is the HDMI sink device(Display port connector etc…)?

    Could you please tell us the difference "with device" and "no device".

    And, could you please tell us the measurement environment of the eye pattern.

    Signal generator -> TS3DV642 [B port] -> HDMI sink device(Display port connector etc…)

    <No device>

    Signal generator -> TS3DV642[B port] -> PCB through path(No device)

                                                                                (Measuring instrument (eye pattern))

    Here's the setups:

    1. With Device

    Signal Generator -> TS3DV642 -> High Speed Scope with HDMI terminations

    2. Without Device

    Signal Generator -> Through path of high speed board -> High Speed Scope with HDMI terminations

    As you can see the diagram are very similar, showing how little the TS3DV642 impacts the signal passing through.
