Minimum input impedance of TS3DS10224 when deactivated

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3DS10224

1) How high is the minimum input impedance of TS3DS10224 when deactivated?

2) What are the select settings to achieve this high impedance input?

3 ) Can the other input be active when this input is High Z?

4)  How high can I count on the Impedance at 480MHz to be at the INA when deactive, while INB is active?

Thank you,

Adam

  • 1) How high is the minimum DC input impedance of TS3DS10224 when deactivated?

The Ioz current in the datasheet is the I/O leakage current when the switch is off. The I/O voltage is switched between 0 and 3.6 V. The Ioz current is 2uA max. Therefore, the DC input impedance is 3.6/2uA ~ 1.8 Mohm.

    2) What are the select settings to achieve this high impedance input?

The select settings to achieve this input impedance is when both switches connected on pin are off. For example, for the INA pin the settings is SAI=0, SBI=1.

3 ) Can the other input be active when this input is High Z?

Yes, the other input (INB for above case) can be active when the INA input is high-Z.

    4)  How high can I count on the Impedance at 480MHz to be at the INA when deactive, while INB is active?

The RF impedance at off-state gives information about the reflection characteristics of the port. We usually characterize the reflection characteristics using the switch S11.

The S11 at 480 MHz is -11 dB. The graph below is the S11 for path A when the switch is OFF.
