+/-12V SPDT Analog Switch

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS5A22366, TS12A12511

Looking for a +/-12V SPDT Analog Switch, preferably one that can be powered by a single supply instead of +/- split rails.  What do you recommend?

By the way, the function of this device is to detect and switch a pair of inputs after detecting whether or not it’s an RS485 +/-12V signal or a +5V/0V digital line.

If a +/-12V signal input is detected, it’s routed through a level shifter to bring the voltage down and feed it into the MCU's interface input for processing.  If the input is determined to be a 5V/0V digital signal, it’s thrown to the other output and routed directly to the MCU’s GPIOs.

Therefore, as a side note, please let me know if you’ve heard of any integrated solutions that could provide this functionality.

Thanks,

Jason

  • Hi Jason,
TS5A22366 can support -3/5.5V voltage range and TS12A12511 can support 2.7V-12V range voltage supply.
We don't have switch which support +/-12 V input.
I think some amplifier can meet your requirment (+/- 12 V in, 0/5V output).
    ThanksWei
