TS3DS26227 for LVDS application?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3DS26227

I have a need to switch between an LVDS (differential voltage of 600 mv with common mode of 600 mv) signal and a CMOS signal level of 3.3 V.  The switching signal ideally is 2.5 V but I can make it what ever it needs to be.

I found the TS3DS26227 and it appears to be exactly the type of part I am searching for but I'm a little nervous that it would have an adverse effect on the LVDS signal.  So was looking to understand if there is something specifically designed for handling LVDS signals.

Thank you,

  • You can see on the front page of the datasheet that Low-Voltage Differential Signal (LVDS) routing is one of the stated applications so the TS3DS26227 would be a good fit for your application.   This device also has a 800Mhz bandwidth and supply voltage up to 3.6 V so it will be able to support both signal levels that you are switching; the differential voltage of 600 mv with common mode of 600 mv signal and a CMOS signal level of 3.3 V.  The 2 channel SPDT configuration will also allow you to switch between the LVDS signal and 2 different CMOS level single ended signals if you need.  If you will not be using the the addition channel for another single ended signal, connect the pin to ground through a 50 ohm resistor to reduce the reflections and maintain signal integrity.

    Thank you,
