Hello Team,

We have a question from our customer about the Ron for TS3DV642.

Do you have information of minimum value for D0 to D3 pins Ron ?

In case, we are asking the background.

Best Regards,

Kawai

  • Kawai,

The datasheet for the TS3DV642 lists only the typical and maximum values for Ron because these are the values that have a limiting effect on a particular application or design.

The minimum value for Ron is lower than the typical value. May I ask why you are asking for the minimum Ron of the TS3DV642?

    Regards,

    Jared

  • Hello Jared-san,

    I appologise for my delay.

Our customer wants to optimize their HDMI waveform based to the switch Ron MIN/MAX information. Is it possible to share us the minimum Ron value ?

It doesn't need to be guaranteed. Could you please share the information of portA and portB D0 toD3 Ron, just for their reference ?

    Best Regards,

    Kawai

  • Hello Jared-san,

Based on the TYP and MAX value,  Ron for D0 to D3 on PORTA is TYP=6.5 Ohm and MAX=9.5 Ohm. MAX value is 6.5(TYP) + 46%.

Can we just answer that MIN value would be around 6.5(TYP) - 46% = 3.51 Ohm ?

If this value is reasonable, I will give them the information on PortB also with the same calculation (estimation).

I would be grateful if you could give me your opinion.

    Best Regards,

    Kawai

  • Takushi-san,

Our simulated minimum for Ron for Port A comes out to 4.4 ohms. I would use this as the Ron Min if they're trying to design for a minimum and maximum. For Port B, the simulated result is 6.1 ohms.

Unfortunately, not all parameters share a Gaussian curve distribution, and so it is not necessarily correct to subtract 46% from the typical value.

  • Hello Jonathan-san,

    Thanks for your support.

I believe the simulation information would be enough for the customer's design.

    Best Regards,

    Kawai
