Connecting two Multiplexer

I am working on the project for impedance tomography. To implement it, I tried to connect two multiplexer (CD74HC4067).

The concept is choosing the point to connect among the bunch of the electrodes, and two multiplexer can connect this. In other words, I am working on the similar one with 2 to 16 MUX.

However, there is some leakage or crosstalk phenomenon (not on the datasheet), and it is so weird.

For example, I routed the signal from node #1 (1st MUX) to node #8 (2nd MUX). I also can see the same output at node #2 (on 1st MUX) as node #1 (1st MUX).

I am so confused.

Could you please provide a schematic so we can better understand your connections?

Could you provide scope shots of your observations and where and how they are captured?

What is are the logic signals (S0, S1, S2, S3) set at for these observations?

Seems the pin at S0 outputs clock output to confuse the multiplexer. I tried to use other pin to control S0, and it seems work now.

I will follow up or open new posting if the problem shows up again.
