TS2PCIE412 Interfacing Questions

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS2PCIE412

1)  The datasheet is unclear which inputs are differential inputs.  I would assume that A0 and A1, A2 and A3, and so on and so forth are differential.  This isn't clearly stated in the datasheet.  Is this true?

2)  Are there any appnotes on termination and/or routing guidelines for this part?  It isn't clear if there is on-chip termination or not.

3)  Is this a drop in replacement for the Pericom PI2PCIE412?

I apologize for the confusion with device naming convention.  We have logged this as an error that needs to be corrected.  The below two diagram shows how the differential pairs are mapped.  I have grouped and labeled the related signal paths by color and the first digit.  Please post to this thread if there is any confusion.

We do not have any layout and/or routing guidelines specific to this device, but I have attached a link to some of our application notes for generic high speed layout guidelines you can use for reference.   USB Layout GuidelinesHigh Speed Layout Guidelines

This device is a basic passive switch and doesn't include any terminating resistors inside the IC.

    3)  Is this a drop in replacement for the Pericom PI2PCIE412?

Yes, you can see that the TS2PCIE412 is a direct replacement for the PI2PCIE412 on the TI.com  cross reference search tool
