TS3A227E issue for apple's headphone(can't implement recording)

Hi, Team

 

This is FAE Ray Chang from Taiwan who is cover USI.

My customer has used the TS3A227E in docking application.

When we tested the function of recording,

We met an issue that apple’s headphone can’t implement recording but the other brand of headphone is work.

If we would like to debug for TS3A227E by I2C, which register we can read it firstly for debugging or do you have any suggestion?

Could you please help me to check the schematic?

    Ray,

    You can check how the TS3A227E device is detecting each headset as a 3pole or 4pole and how the switches are configured reading the registers below.  You can compare the register settings to the switch diagram to see if the headset is correctly being detected and the switches are configured properly to connect the microphone.
