TS5A23157 vs TS5A23159 for handling high frequency noise

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS5A23159, TS5A23157

Hi

I got this question form my customer yesterday.

Both of TS5A23159 and TS5A2317 fulfills my requirements, but I wonder which of them would handle the most high frequency noise (protective diodes are likely to trigger).

My guess is that the TS5A23157 is more rugged as the Ron is larger. Is it correct to assume this??

Regards

  • Anders,

That is an interesting question and I suppose we would need more information on what the noise looks like and what they mean by "handle". Do they mean keep the noise from damaging the part or keep the noise from passing through the signal path?

To keep high frequency signals from passing through the switches signal path I would choose the switch with the lowest bandwidth which would be the TS5A23159.

    Thank you,
    Adam
