Does TI have a MHL mux solution with data rate up to 2.25 Gbps?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3USB3031, TS3USB3000, TS3USB3200

Dear Sir

Does TI have MHL mux solution ?? data rate need up to 2.25Gbps

Thanks

  • Kai,

Yes we have several products that could support 2.25Gbps.  For this data rate we recommend you select a switch with a bandwidth > than 3.4 GHz (you can see our multiplexer FAQ thread for more information on the data rate to bandwidth conversion)

I went to the TI.com switch selection tool and filtered for switch with > 3.4 GHz bandwidth and found 5 parts.  All five can support MHL signals but the HDMI and DDR switch have large channel counts and MHL only requires 1 differential pair.  I would go with the TS3USB3000, TS3USB3031, or TS3USB3200.

You can also look at this e2e thread that shows the common analog specifications for popular signal protocols and has switch recommendations.

Which switch can support USB 2.0, HDMI 1.4, UART, I2C, Ethernet, 1000Base-T, SATA, etc..... - Switches...

Here the thread shows the same devices mentioned above
