Looking for SPDT analog switch by 2 that runs off 2.5V and pass 3.3 V signals

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3A5223, TS3USB30, TS3USB3000, TS3USB221

We are looking for a SPDT analog switch by 2 or an equivalent 2:1 Mux by 2. Do you have any that can run off of 2.5V but still support a 3.3V signal?

Also, would it be able to support voltage on its inputs regards of if it was powered on or not?

  • Kaitlyn,

Based on the TS3A5223 datasheet, yes you can have Vcc = 2.5 V and pass 3.3 V signal but the datasheet doesn’t guarantee supporting a signal with Vcc = 0V.

I would recommend using a USB switch like the TS3USB221, TS3USB3000, or TS3USB30.  They are 2 channel 1:2 switches that have the powered off isolation feature that can support a signal when Vcc= 0V  and can pass 3.3 V signals when Vcc= 2.5 V.

    Thank you,

    Adam
